Goslar



Goslar is twinned with Windsor.  I think. This is Goslar's Medieval Imperial Eagle. It has a lovely town square and a wee demonstration of it's history which is accompanied by the pealing of bells.  The town square fills up with tourists at the scheduled time, and we all turn and watch....  Lovely.

Wonderchild1 hates spending money - even when she was given the money for her holiday. So she was delighted to buy us a single-scoop ice cream each from the money she was given by her Granny and Grandpa.




This was in Goslar. A single scoop was 80c, and with the weak euro, that made them about 64p each.  Beat that Scotland!  

They were hosting the World Masters Orienteering Championships, so there were lots of old people looking a little lost.
