I don't think I've sen a single episode of "The Prisoner" YET, but have visited the set in Wales.

Fiona I20 update

Just a little post.  Fiona is now 18 months old, and still in good health.  I bought her a new tyre for Christmas, and she has given me a 5 mpg improvement ever since.

She has started to give me 500 miles on a tank of unleaded, and my reward for her is to drive faster once we get to the magic 500.

I probably need to get out more!

That's Asda Price

Another fine evening's shopping in Asda last Wednesday.  This time, out with child 1 buying ingredients for her baking extravaganza the next day (http://demurechef.blogspot.com/), she having finished her prelims and not needing educated for a wee while, we spotted some steak in the bargain zone.

 Difficult to spot from the photo, but this is around a kilo of steak for 20p.

Due to visitors arriving on the Friday, meals were already scheduled for the next few nights, but last night we settled down to enjoy the steak with a pasta/bacon/leek bake, and a few tasty beers from other recent expeditions.

Split between 6, there was plenty for everyone.  

Glasgow Transport Museum

Having visitors to stay can be a blessing. No, really.  Although when planning "what to do on Saturday" it seemed for a while that we might be lining up for a visit to the Burrell Collection, and only later did the Transport Museum find its way to the top of the approved list.

So off we set on a damp Saturday to see what there is to see

So for those of you who were starting to wonder if I was going to do anything this year.... the short answer is yes. Stop asking.

There are model boats which need a longer look next time, and I loved my seat on the underground.  It felt that I was moving.  I waited for it to stop before getting up!

Dolphin Lampshade

I made this!
We bought one of these for one child, and the other one wanted one too. But the shop was in France, and we were home again.

So I got going with my trusty jig-saw and hey-presto, some hours later we have a new-born dolphin kitten. Spray paint from B&Q (other paint suppliers are available) and the job's done.

And the reason for the photo: Hogmanay was spent with child 2, helping her paint her room, and replacing the much loved dolphin. Available on Ebay sometime soon.

Playing Flounders

We use to play "Flounders" when we were at school. Now on a boxing-day visit to Crail, some of us indulged in a post-christmas game.
