The demise of Fiona and the arrival of ???

Fiona has been a trusty work-horse - delivering me to work in Fife for the past 6 years. She has had a few tyres, and some replacement brakes, and nothing else major.

Let us not dwell on the half-baked paint job executed by a major scottish dealer to fix the paintwork under warranty...  So good they did it twice.

And Fiona headed off into the land of webuyanycar, then we picked up the as-yet-un-named DS3.

Shortly after this, Mrs C claimed this as her preferred choice of transport for the foreseeable future.

For the record - the roof is "Emerald".

Troubles come in threes

Ask me about eating vegetables.  I am not a shirker of the genre.
So January finds me on fridge tidying duties - and prepping the last of the christmas parsnips for our evening meal.

Unfortunately there is a skill that I have not yet mastered...

So my thanks go to my local nurse friend - who knows who she is, for sorting out a minor emergency.

Next time - hold the thin end while slicing the thick one!

HNY2017

We've made it through to the end of my Christmas holiday, and I need to go back to work tomorrow.  We have had a holiday in Belfast visiting all the relatives, generally sleeping late, and catching up on life.

I finished up the year back in Grangemouth, playing for a hogmanay dinner-dance.

Then we tool a trip up north for a family reunion on the first. It is good to get caught up with the scottish side of things.
(we left home in sunshine, and made it through the snow!)

And finally, today, we had a family day - and a great "raclette".

Epic.

Finally, my personal thanks to Arthur Metz for keeping me going through the season.
