Crossing the Forth en vélo

Out on the bikes tonight with Eilidh. 2 possible photos to put up.  1 shows a cyclist, purple in the face from a bit too much effort, and the other showing the river, with the Ochils in the background.

You will just have to imagine the cyclist!

Ferries of the north channel

This is the 7:30 am ferry from Cairnryan to Belfast. Getting on this involves setting your alarm for 4:00 am, and driving 100+ miles through a storm, before checking in 30 minutes before sailing.
It's the first time I've seen the new Stenaline port in daylight. Dull!

Eilidh Candlish conducts HMFY

Today was Olympic torch day for Clackmannanshire.  HMFY were organised to play at the civic reception.  So we were at the Town Hall by 7:30 (am).  The bacon rolls were lovely.

But something was missing.

May holiday weekend

I took myself off for a morning drive along the beach. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Windows down, Abba (Dancing Queen) playing at full volume, and the smell of the seaweed in my nostrils.

I didn't know about the fierce rip-tide or the quicksand. All of a sudden the party was over, the game was a bogey.

I will miss Fiona....
